The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom. It is a fountain of life. And only by the fear of the LORD can men depart from evil and begin to walk in righteousness to please God. Without the fear of the LORD, there is no salvation. Without the fear of the LORD, man cannot come to truly know the living God or his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Every righteous man and woman in the word of God that lived a life of faith that pleased God feared the LORD, including Jesus himself! So let us fear God and tremble at his word, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
